Shel did not only draw and write poems and short stories but he also was a music writter and also wrote plays for theater.
In the span of Silversteins life he went on to write 100 one act plays that appeared off broadway.
Shel loved music and it really showed in the songs that he created.
A lot of the music that was created by Silverstein was performed by other artist. One of the most known songs of his was performed by Johnny Cash "A boy named Sue".
The talents of Silverstein was very evident in his works by being able to play the piano, saxophone, guitar and trombone.
